Millennium 2000 Technologies’ RPDU is a high-density power distribution system, designed to provide manageable and flexible power to multiple racks in a computer room. The RPDU is available in a 17U or 10U high configuration. It is designed with a complete single or three phase circuit breaker panel, advanced metering, and a variety of plug and play output receptacles that can deliver up to 33 KVA.

Many advantages and benefits are associated with the RPDU distribution method. • Real estate: The RPDU will free valuable computer room space, which is usually occupied by bulky distribution equipment and NEC required clearances around panels. • Installation cost: Power distribution is costly, and circuit wiring could cost several thousand of dollars. The RPDU addresses this issue by delivering 33KVA of plug and play receptacles powering up to 16 racks with only one input circuit. • Installation time: Conventional wiring could take several days to complete, while the RPDU power distribution can be available within a few hours due to the simplicity of the installation. • Quality: Field installed circuits are usually not load tested, therefore reducing the reliability and quality of the distribution circuits and increasing the chance of future failures. The RPDU distribution unit is load tested and each individual receptacle is loaded to 100% of its capacity. • Flexibility: Addition of future circuits in a computer room requires downtime and additional cost. By using the RPDU, load addition is easy, just plug the new equipment in to an available receptacle. • Relocation and reconfiguration: The RDPU can be easily relocated at no additional cost to the end user. Where as in conventional wiring, a total abandonment of the distribution circuits is expected. • Air conditioning: Conduits under computer room floors restrict AC airflow, thus resulting in added cost for additional AC units. By utilizing the RPDU distribution, under floor congestion will be resolved. • Fire Suppression: By using the RPDU distribution, all receptacles are above the computer room floor, which will eliminate the need for fire suppression system required by the city fire codes. • Load Monitoring: The RPDU is equipped with an advanced power meter. The meter transmits all data to a Palm Pilot Organizer via an infrared port, then to an Excel spreadsheet for record keeping and management. • Universal operation: The RPDU operates as a single or three phase distribution, and interfaces with a variety of AC power supply systems. • Remote Equipment connection: The RPDU has knockouts on the top and bottom panels, and spare circuits to distribute power to any location in the computer room. • The RPDU is a UL listed product.
Installation		Monitoring
Simple to install: 1. Mount the RPDU in the desired location on your rack system. 2. Install one electrical circuit from the UPS or power source to the RPDU. 3. The RPDU is ready to distribute power to the rack UP to 33 KVA plug and play load power connection: 1. Simply install your vertical power strips to each cabinet. 2. Run the power strip cord to the RPDU and plug it in one of the receptacles located on the back of the RPDU. 3. Turn on the corresponding circuit breaker.		Monitor and control your load closely: 1. The RPDU is equipped with an advanced power monitor that provides KWH, KW, KVA, KVAR, Amps and voltage per phase. 2. The monitor will transmit all readings via infrared port to a Palm Pilot Organizer, then to an Excel spreadsheet for record keeping and management.
